We want everyone to be able to read about the Pod, get a quote and book it, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use. This page says what we do towards that, where we still fall short, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the most widely used standard for web accessibility.
This site partly meets that standard. The parts that do not yet fully meet it are listed under Known limitations below.
What we have done
In September and October 2026 we reviewed every page of this site against WCAG 2.2 AA, with automated testing at desktop and phone sizes and at 400% zoom, and a line-by-line review of the code, and fixed what we found. That work included:
- Colour contrast on text, buttons, form fields and focus outlines.
- A visible focus outline on every link, button and field, and a Skip to content link at the top of each page.
- Labels on every form field, and error messages on the quote form and the Rent a Pod builder that are written out in text, tied to the field they are about, and announced to screen readers.
- A pause button on the background video and on every moving row of photos, a Stop animation control on the About page's story, and respect for the reduce motion setting on your device.
- Buttons and keyboard keys for every row of photos and cards that you can also drag or swipe.
- Headings that grow when you zoom your browser, and pages that keep all their text at 400% zoom.
- Focus that moves to the new page when you follow a link, and to the problem when a form step is refused.
- Text descriptions for meaningful images, checked against each photo.
Known limitations
Some things on the site do not yet fully meet the standard. We are working on them, and in the meantime we will help you another way.
- Videos from YouTube and Instagram are hosted by those platforms. Their captions are the platforms' own, which may be automatic or missing, and they have no transcript or audio description yet.
- The map on the Book page comes from Google. Our service area is also written out in text at the foot of every page.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this site does not work for you, please tell us which page and what happened. You do not need to use the form: write to us at the address below and we will take your quote or booking directly, and fix what stopped you.
About this statement
This statement is based on our own review of the site in September and October 2026. We check the site again when we make changes, and update this page when something is fixed or a new limitation is found.
